Leopard found dead in Girnar Forest in Junagadh

About ten-year-old leopard found dead in Girnar wildlife sanctuary in Junagadh. According to forest department officials, the leopard was founded near Bhavnath area in South range of Girnar wildlife sanctuary.
As soon as the news came to Range forest office, officials rushed to the spot with veterinary doctors. Later on, the leopard' body was sent for post mortem to ascertain the cause the death.
"The leopard was about ten-year-old and post mortem report found that the wild cat died of the natural death. After the post mortem report, we performed the last rites of the dead animal as per the wildlife rules in the forest area'' said forest official.
According to forest officials, there are good presences of wild animals like lions, leopards, chinkaras, and blue-bulls among other wild animals in Girnar wildlife sanctuary in Junagadh.
