Leopard attacks teenager in Amreli

A 19-year-old youth was attacked by a leopard at Abharampara village in Savarkundla taluka of Amreli district on Tuesday night.

According forest department sources, Suresh Khima, a native of Madhya Pradesh and a farm labourer in the village, was asleep when the leopard pounced on him. The youth escaped with minor injuries after he immediately climbed on a tree nearby. He was rushed to a government hospital in Savarkundla town.

Farm owner Dharmesh Gajera rushed to the farm and informed the forest department officials about the incident.

Some days ago, a leopard had mauled to death a 12-year-old girl Nirmala Puwar in Ghantiya village of Sutrapada taluka of Junagadh district
