RAJKOT: Two lionesses and a cub were found dead at three separate places in the forests of Junagadh district since Monday. Forest department sources said that all the deaths were due to natural causes.

According to sources, an 11-year-old lioness was found dead near Kagmal forest area in Visavadar range. She died due to old age. Another lioness, a five-year-old, who was found dead in Rajpara round of the same range died due to pneumonia.

Meanwhile, the body of a lion cub was found in the South Forest Range in GirnarWildlife Sanctuary. The reason behind the cub's death was not immediately known.
